That you should show the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous Light
(1 Peter 2:9)
The following letter I am posting here andon the Prayer Request Blog Page. The Letter is from a dear brother who ministers for The Holy Way in the area of Singapore and south of there. He has written to Lolli Hart the corresponding secretary of the Holy Way USA. Please pray for Philipus Sukampto and his family. MAC+
Dear Tante Lolli Hart in Precious Jesus Name,
On the 5th of October 07, I fell off of my motorbike while going to do ministry in Tiban Center and the front bone on my left shoulder was broken in two places. I have been under medical treatment but the bones have not mended in 18 days. My Doctor has sheduled surgery to 'sew my shoulder back together' on October 29th. I am asking for prayer that my shoulder might recover and again be whole. Please give our love to Herry and Dolly and The Holy Way USA!
Hallelujah, Amen
Philipus Sukampto and family
The following e-mail is from Ernest and Lohetta Griesel. They are Christian missionaries 'Bond servants of the Lord', that have given up everything to serve the youth and homeless in America. The Griesels, who are originally from South Africa, live in Utah and are working tirelessly for revival there. What follows below is a quote from a Christian martyr who lost his life in the Amazon. The quote is from the following web site: http://christian-communities.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=category§ ionid=7&id=19&Itemid=139
Have You Paid The Price?

A letter of encouragement from a Holy Way brother in Indonesia:
Dear Mike Chapman, The Holy Way North Carolina, USA
Shalom and Praise the Lord, I am so glad to hear from you again. If we greet, pray and encourage one another, our spirit will be stronger to do the ministries for Jesus our Lord and master. (emphasis mine)
Mike, I do not remember if we met in Lawang in 1998 but in 1983 we did visit Baltimore while Father Stube was the senior Pastor there. For two weeks we had a beautiful time with Father Stube and while visiting Tante (Aunt) Lolli’s beautiful home, and her wonderful swimming pool, oh it was fantastic !
While I was in Baltimore I slept in the room with Oom (Father) Stube while Darto and Dolfinus slept in another room. Oom Stube and I became very close as if my heart was being knit together with his. Meanwhile, I am sure that God is preparing a good time for us when we meet face to face and share those things that the Lord has done for us and in us.
Currently we are in prayer with Dexter Low about building a Bible Training Center for the Nations at Batam island(Indonesia) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), so that we can make disciples for Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia together. We were using a piece of land in Cakang, which is in the jungle of Galang island about 60 miles from Batam island for our work, but because it was too far from the city and transportation costs are so high we have moved. However, join with me in giving thanks to Jehovah Jireh (provider) for providing a house, office and land for the Asia Bible Training Center at Batam.
During July Holydays we will be providing a special Training for our 17 students that are in our program. Thanks be to God, the local Pentecostal Church will be lending us their building for this 2 week program.
We are encouraged and comforted when we hear these students crying out to the Lord and speaking in other tongues because the Holy Spirit has filled them. Oh Hallelujah, there is such a joy flowing in worship, that I can’t utter words wonderful enough to explain it.
I want you to know that you can put my testimonies in your internet newsletter. It makes me glad to think about the letter on the internet because more saints will pray for us to do the ministry, and HIS WILL will be done on Batam, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and so on.
We never cease praying for The Holy Way to do the ministries. AMEN

This letter is from a brother in the Lord, Jim Lindsay. He just happens to be a board member with The Holy Way USA. We were speaking on the phone and this conversation came up. Both of us thought it would be a good thing to post it on the web site, so that as Jim says, people can pray and study this concept and perhaps start a discussion on this site. The e-mail address for Jim Lindsay is: fathersheart@mindspring.com and mine of course is thwmac@juno.com. Please feel free to respond to this posting. MAC+
Dear Mike,
It was so good to hear your voice and share the good things of God. I was not pleased to hear about your broken ribs. I pray they will heal with His anointing.
As we shared, the topic of Elijah and Elisha came up and I think it would be a good idea to promote some thought and prayer regarding the wisdom contained in their lives. There are so many types out there and these seem to hold so much importance for us as Christians especially since we can look forward to the coming of Elijah.
Unlike the promises of wealth, health, and a better life, God has promised us that He would send Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord to turn the hearts of the fathers to the sons and the hearts of the sons to the fathers. Malachi 4:5-6. It is interesting to see what is important to Him.
Christ tells us that Elijah, in fact, had already come and it was John the Baptist. In the various conversations with the disciples about Elijah Christ alluded to the fact that he was still going to come and that John had come in the Spirit and power of Elijah.
This proves very interesting when we look back in the Old Testament and read the stories about Elijah and Elisha. Elijah seemed to be a typical Old Testament fire and brimstone kind of prophet. He killed 400 of the prophets of Baal, stopped up the heavens so their was no rain, and was always calling Israel to repentance. Where as Elisha's ministry was very similar to Christ's. Even the bones of Elisha caused one who was dead to live again and come up out of the grave. Lots of pictures here.
Elisha received the call to be a prophet while he was plowing the fields. There was some interesting dialogue similar to some Jesus uses to illustrate the call to discipleship. Elisha wanted to first kiss his father goodby or something like that, but then does an amazing thing; he slaughters the oxen burns the plow cooks the flesh and gives it to the people and they did eat. He then followed Elijah and ministered unto him.
Elijah tried to shake Elisha from his determined walk. He was immovable. He followed his master right to and through the Jordan river. Elijah was being taken up. His ministry was coming to an end. I remember the prophecy you had Mike, about the mantle. ( I had a word at a funeral that, 'there was still a mantle', referring to the man who had gone to be with the Lord-MAC+) It would continue. This thing with Elijah and Elisha is the same thing. Prior to be taken up Elisha asked to have a double portion of Elijah's anointing. Elijah said that if he saw him taken up he would have what he asked for. It was after the Jordan crossing that the mantle transfer took place and Elijah was taken up. It was at the Jordan river that Jesus ministry was launched and John's began to die out. In many ways Elisha's ministry was very similar to Christ's and should be like a ministry the Saints of God should demonstrate.
Could many in the Body of Christ raise up to walk in the ministry of Elijah, that is, they would walk in the same spirit and power that Elijah walked in? Incidently, when Christ used the word 'spirit' here it seems to refer to Elijah's personal spirit, or Elisha's spirit that would cause him to kill his plow animals and burn the plow.
This would be a great thing to have faith for and to seek through the kind of sold out life demonstrated by Elijah and Elisha. Oh yes, I think that John the Baptist demonstrated this kind of life too. Although, I think I might have a problem with the scratchy clothes and sparse diet.
I pray that others will chew on this topic and perhaps become excited about seeking a promise that will move mountains and lead many to walk in righteousness.
In Christ, Jim
+ The following letter is from a brother in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. In the letter he mentions that the saints there had been praying for my recovery from my fall. As they began to pray, I went to the doctor and he gave me permission to cautiously begin normal activity. Coincidence..I don't believe it. Because of all the prayers that have gone up on my behalf, I believe healing not only for my body, but my soul and spirit as well. Here is the letter from Stedy:
Shallom Brother Mike,
Praise the Lord for His Holy Spirit in all of us, Amin !
I am so thankful for your e-mail sent to me showing the unity of togetherness between us as the Body of Christ. Thanks also to mom Lolli for forwarding my letters to you.
We do understand if you could not come to attend the Holy Con-vocation here, next time God will open the way for you to come to Indonesia, or for some some from Indonesia to visit you there, Amin ! Eventhough you are far away from us, your prayers always come to bless us, we do the same to you too...We are bound by Christ in love.
It is good news for us, The Holy Way in North-Sulawesi Indonesia, to know that you will have two convocations there. These will be in our prayer that God will use The Holy Way USA to save souls, to express the Glory of Christ Jesus and to be a pioneer of Church Life Restoration.
Your web site is a tool given by God to share the Good News all over the world. Keep moving for Jesus !
Brother Mike, we believe that God has given you a divine recovery as we pray for you.
God bless you with His fulness and riches and power and love to build His Body, HALLELUJAH !
Please give our love to your family and all the members of the Holy Way there.
In His Grace,
Stedy Tambuwun-North Sulawesi, Indonesia
