THE HOLY WAY NORTH CAROLINA UPDATE

The Holy Way is a group of people that gather around the feet of Jesus to hear His words and walk in His will. By definition then, those who walk on God's Holy Way (Highway of Holiness : Isaiah 35:8) can be found almost anywhere that Jesus Christ is believed in the heart and confessed with the lips as Lord of All.

For many years The Holy Way USA has ministered in Baltimore, Md. and Bealeton, Va. Seven years ago, called by God a team of us were sent out by The Holy Way in Bealeton, Va. to establish The Holy Way here in Moravian Falls, NC.

By the grace of God property and buildings were funded and the mission began. What has been going on since then has been the preaching of the Gospel, mostly to those who have never heard it, and the discipling of those who have believed.

We seek to follow the pattern of ministry that Jesus himself used, considering His pattern to be the best example that is found. We understand this pattern to be, the Preaching of the Good News of His glorious Gospel, the casting out of demons, the healing of the sick, and the baptizing of those that believe. We teach those who have believed all that Jesus has commanded us, and lay hands on those who believe for the empowering (Baptism) of the Holy Spirit (Ghost). From scripture we see that the manifest power of the Holy Spirit is necessay for ministry.(Matt.10:7-8; Matt. 28:18-20 Mark 16:14-20)

When we gather together, it is to worship the Lord Jesus by the leading of the Holy Spirit, and to have fellowship with one another. We believe that even in this day, the Holy Spirit speaks to those who are the Lord's and leads them in their daily lives.(Acts 2:42) So we don't think it strange that the Holy Spirit can lead our times of worship. The Holy Spirit is the gift of the Father that Jesus commanded the first disciples to wait for. The Holy Spirit is the one that empowers the Body of Christ to do ministry and the one who ministers that which is of Jesus to His Body. There is great power in these meetings, and those souls that are surrendered to Him receive directly from the Holy Spirit of God.

The second part of our gatherings is fellowship. There are two types of fellowship that humans can have. There is social fellowship where we get to know each other casually, eventhough we see each other many times a week, and the type of fellowship where we get to know each other after the Spirit.

Knowing one another after the Spirit is essential, if not crucial, for the Body of Christ in this day and age. Knowing a person by the Spirit is not the same as judging a person from their outward appearance or title, but to know who they are in the eyes of God. Knowing people after the Spirit is how Jesus knew people.(John6:15)

We have continued in this fashion for many years. We ask people that come to The Holy Way to come here to seek the Lord and have an expectation that He will move in their lives. We find that the Father honors those who seek Him

The Lord has recently caused us here in North Carolina to begin to take what we are doing to other locations. There are three places where we have been meeting and they are listed below.
